I accidentally deleted the first version of this so this second effort will probably be abrupt, lazy and affected by an extra half glass of shiraz.
Ok, I had this site SoUnderrated.com that was going to conquer the world of popular culture by getting people to come together to discuss what they feel is underrated. With an extra billion in VC it could’ve been better than that Digg crap.
Instead I got frustrated and decided to do podcasts with mates. It was quick content and a lot of fun or therapy or both. One was a particular doozy with my good mate Peter Curtis who was once a DJ in a dingy club in Canberra whose name escapes me.
We both like Scotch and music so naturally it became a regular event often on Sundays when we could be hungover and discuss our various relationship troubles in the company of a beverage starting ususally with the name Glen.
Once Pete’s taste in music got too heavy and rock to be mixed with my electronica leanings, it was decided we’d get guests on board to do ten songs that describe them musically. Some were good, others were tragic as it became an opportunity for all the guys to get away from their wives and get smashed for a day. I have all the recordings and they’ll all be available eventually!
So now it’s time to progress. Pete now lives in Copenhagen, I’m still here in Sydney so I’ll be testing the waters with some more guests. Stay tuned and grab a crystal glass filled with your favourite libation.
